Game Design Document

HI,

This is my GDD, my game is inspired by the game 'flappy bird' it is a based on a bird that must fly successfully through rings throughout the map. The game is based in the jungle. It is based on a high score, there is no levels to the game.

  1. Hi Andy, I like the fact that you are creating a flappy bird type game in a third person perspective its interesting and I think it will make a great game. I was just wondering as I understand you said the player will be able to move left to right, will they be able to go up or down or just left and right? And if you weren’t thinking of one, I would recommend having a score somewhere on the screen so the player knows what their score is at all times. All the best with this game and the rest of the semester!

  3. Hi Andy,
How are you doing? I have just finished up reading through your blog. Your blog was very easy to navigate around. I also like the aesthetics of your blog, the colour code and the layout is different from most of the ones I have seen. I can tell you've put a lot of time and research into this module, you seem to be flying with your game so that is good! I loved the game Flappy bird so there's no doubt I'll love yours. You've made this idea your own by taking inspiration from around you. I was wondering had you thought about adding in like a double jump feature into your game, pretty sure I can remember one in flappy bird. I definitely think that would be a positive addition to your game. Best of luck!
