My Favorite Video Game

CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS II

Developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 is a first person shooter game.

Just like every other Black Ops Call of duty game, this game contains three modes that the players can choose from; Campaign, Zombies and multiplayer.

The Campaign continues as a sequel leading from the previous Black Ops 1. Although we get to play as different characters during the campaign. The main protagonist is "David Mason" whom is the son of captain "Alex Mason"  whom is the Black ops 1 main protagonist.  This sequel really appealed to me as I enjoyed playing as both the father in the first Black ops game and the son in the second in which the legacy continued.

The multiplayer contained of 14 diverse maps ( Not including DLC) each inspired by a location in where some of the missions in campaign mode took place, a part from the classic 'nuketown' which is a traditional map that is released within all Black Ops games.

                "Express" map battle

Zombies is also a Black Ops tradition, within all Black Ops games the zombies game mode is released. Zombies is a game mode that works by rounds. The player is placed in a map of choice either on their own or with other players (up to 4 players per game). Every round includes a swarm of zombies attacking the players and as the round goes up, so does the difficulty and number of swarming zombies. Players can adapt to this by equipping better weapons from the mystery box or purchasing weapons off walls, but to do so you must earn points by shooting and killing zombies.

Out of many Call Of Duty games, this game in particular stood out for me the most. I created a lot of lifetime memories on Black Ops 2,  I was a part of communities from people all around the world. I had a lot of fun on multiplayer, especially the game mode 'Search & Destroy' in which all players were required to be in game chat, and where all the trash talking took place. Although it was a toxic environment at times, it shaped us into the men we are today haha. Zombies was also great, my favorite map was transit which involved riding a bus through a zombie infested city. No one wanted to miss that bus. The feel and vibe of the game could really never be replaced. I still remember the sounds of each gun firing, the classic "ballista" sniper and the "DSR", not to forget the great AN-94. I can also remember the music of the zombies loading screen and the music of the multiplayer lobby. I am feeling very nostalgic as I write this looking back at all these memories, also somewhat sad that we will never experience such a great game like that again, however I look forward to future COD games!
